The Author of the Week!!

   Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet. She was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, in a successful family with strong community ties; she lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life. After she studied at the Amherst Academy for seven years in her youth, she spent a short time at Mount Holyoke Female Seminary before returning to her family's house in Amherst. Most of her friendships were therefore carried out by correspondence. Her life was surrounded by mystery and legend.

   Her poems are short, condense, verbal ambiguity and difficult due to elision. She wrote about 1775 poems and only few of them were published. The poems appeared after her death. The poems have not title but a number.

Are you – Nobody – Too?

My grandmother’s recipe!

“Pear compote”

Ingredients

2 lb. pears

1/2 lb sugar
2 cups water
1 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)
Grated zest of 1/2 lemon

Preparation Instructions

Peel and core the pears. Place in pot with remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook 10-15 minutes, until the pears are very soft but still hold their shape. Serve warm or at room temperature with some of the cooking syrup.
Make 4-6 servings.

1. Do you like your role in the film?
Oh! Yes. But I prefer to be the Bella’s boyfriend.
 

2. Have you got a girlfriend?
Lol, not at this moment, but I like to have one in a future time.
 

3. In the third film of Twilight, do you have Bella’s heart?
Mmm!, if you want to know the answer, you must watch the film or read the book.
 

4. What do you feel when you are a wolf?
Oh! That’s a good question. It is an incredible feeling, you cannot explain it with words, but it is a total adrenalin rush.

5. How did you get to change your thin body so fast?
Lol, it is because I went to the gym everyday and ate healthy.

Interview the music teacher
1. Why do you like teaching?
I don’t know, since I was a child I like it too much and at the end this is my job.
 

2. How are you with your pupils?
I like to be a bit strict in order to impose discipline in my students.
 

3. Do you play any instrument?
Of course, my parents teach me to play the piano and the guitar. The piano is a very elegant instrument and the guitar is a more traditional one. I usually play the guitar with my friends.
 

4. What is your favourite instrument?
My favourite instrument is the violin, it is amazing! But I can’t play it, lol.
 

5. What kind of music do you like?
I like classic music but also jazz and Celtic music. I usually go to some concerts or bars where musicians play that kind of music.
